U19 Bronze, 22 October

16 Players from Avon entered this tournament which took place at Gordano School sports centre.





The Girls' Singles saw a rising star take the title, 13-year-old Ishasryia Mekala of Wales. The only player to reach double figures against the number 1 seed was Chloe Barton (seeded second) of Herefordshire, in the final.


In the Boy's Singles, Darong Huang took the bronze after losing a close match in the semi-final to the No1 seed and eventual winner Jimmy Houghton of Devon.


In the Mixed Doubles, Sharlene Careng and Po Tik Tong took a bronze losing to the number 1 seeds and eventual winners (Abbie Pearce and Brennan Hutchings of Hampshire) in a close match. Megan King and Marcus Pan took the bronze after losing a very close match to the silver medallists Danann Butler-Roche and Christian Tan of Wiltshire.


Darong Huang and Mikey Wright took a bronze in the Boys' Doubles, losing a tight 3 setter semi-final to Toby Brookes and Hayden Herkes of Devon.


Sharlene Careng and her partner Danann Butler-Roche of Wiltshire went all the way to take the gold in the Girls' Doubles, winning 4 out of 4 matches and beating the No 1 seeds (Chloe Barton and Emily Gillson of Herefordshire) along the way.
