Avon runs a large & vibrant Junior county squad, which currently numbers almost 100 players at all age groups.
 
Avon runs teams in both the National Shires League and regional South West Counties Leagues at U13, U15, U17 and U19 age groups, as well as participating in the annual U18 Inter Counties Tournament in Nottingham.
 
County training takes place on Thursdays and Sundays at Gordano School in Portishead, with the following timings:
Juniors - Sundays, 9am to 11am
Colts - Sundays, 11am to 1pm
Development and Elite - Thursdays, 7pm to 9pm

In order to be considered for membership of the county junior squad, players should be involved with a junior club and/or tournaments, and coaches at their club or tournament organisers would recommend them to the county coaches and team managers. Find a junior club
 
Training is run by experienced Badminton England coaches and reflects both skills development as well as match practice.
