History is made at English Nationals

History was made at the English Nationals on Sunday 22 August when Avon's Jess Hopton was crowned English Senior National Ladies Doubles Badminton Champion, with her partner Jess Pugh.

An epic final victory against Jenny Moore & Vicky Williams 21-23, 21-19, 21-13.

Congratulations Jess from everyone at Avon Badminton. We are all so proud of you.

The Avon success didn't stop there, as Magda Lozniceriu won bronze with Cornwall's Cara Collins. After an amazing 21-16, 16-21, 23-21 quarter final victory, they lost out in the semi finals to the number 1 seeds.
