Avon represented on the Masters international stage

National Masters o70s Champions Cathy Alexander and Penny Shears were selected to represent England against Scotland in the McCoig Trophy on Friday 4th March 2022, held in the Railway Institute Hall, York. As part of a dominant England win, Cathy and Penny won their match in the over 70s category against Loraine Bennett and Margaret Robertson, 21-18 21-18.

Cathy went on to take the Women's Doubles title in the York Masters tournament that followed over the weekend, partnering Maguerite Butt (Devon).
